The simple trust between hand, pen and paper allows for unplanned creativity. Freehand ink drawings challenge my creative mind, as well as, my patience. I can spend up to 30 hours completing a large piece. The beauty behind unplanned artistic creation is design freedom. As I work on a piece the process changes just like the strokes from my pen. Challenges arise and lead to interesting avenues worth exploring despite the obstacles.  These obstacles present the very moment when the craft comes alive for me.  The challenge to improve, rescue, and resuscitate – taking the imperfect and creating a work of art.  Much like in real life, hidden beauty emerges from chaos.
